I usually drop to one knee and say a quick hail mary after suiting up. Also if I'm heading somewhwere using the pike, I always turn off the radio and say a quick Hail Mary as I'm passing the Mary statue in the East bound lane of the pike near Sturbridge. I usually ask for something more important but slip in a quick "a few fish too please".

When I get into the water I'll scoop water onto my conventional reel to wet the line then thank the lord for allowing me to fish with the remaining water I'll bless myself with a short prayer...in the past when I haven't done this ritual it's sucked

Also, like Zeal, when my rod is not in use and I hear the wind buzzing through my line and makes that creepy howl sound,I know it's going to suck ass.

Live bait sharp hooks and timing is all you need
