Sorry for what has happened Chris. If your landlord says no, go for the attorney and sue him. He has to have some kind of liabitlity insurance.

In most cases landlord is not responsible for apartment flooding by natual causes....if apartment is flooded due to faulty plumbing there is recourse...it is always best to check with attorney if U can afford it
