I was kidding about the trash bag. The spray skirt and pump are on my list for this year as accessories I should have had last year.

Hey Scratch, this is Dan from the C.S.A.
That little yak will be fine. We have a couple of 10' yaks, sit inside that are great. Like with any boat, you have to pick and choose your days on the water. Only advise would be, tie up a paddle leash to the paddles because when you hook up with a nice fish, you can drop the paddles and grab the rod before it goes overboard.
Hope to see you at the "demo-day" on Saturday, if not February monthly meeting.
