Probably as is often the case it depends where you're at. All you need is a band to set up over you for a bit and you're at least a few inches deeper then the next town over. I think Providence and surrounding areas lucked out a little bit, it was only a top 10 storm.

For Boston, Hartford, and Worcester it was in the top 5.

The Blizzard of 1978 had less snow around New Haven- around 28 inches but the storm was much worse because of the winds. Sustained winds were in the 70 mph and there was a reported gust in Mass of 114 mph. The storm was around for 30 hours. and drifts up to 17 feet in CT.

But in terms of snow fall for a short period of time- they estimate that in that snow band that hit Milford- Hamden snow rate was 6 inches per hour.

Not much drifting near me.

this is my air conditioner box.

I live about 20 miles west of Hartford, we had a good 3 feet of snow. Here's what I saw when I opened my garage door, that little black thing is the side view mirror on my Honda Accord.

The one nice thing was the snow was as light and fluffy as it gets, thank God. Took a nice stroll around my neighborhood in my snow shoes, at times I was a good 10 feet off the ground.

And I still can't make a fist with either hand because of holding the controls of the snowblower all weekend.
