Not sure, Scott was the one who tied it. It was one of the last knots put on the machine that evening so maybe it was a fluke but after an evening of watching the Palomar, Clinch, Improved Clinch, etc, pop in the 30's when using 50# braid, seeing an easy to tie knot pop in the 50's was interesting.

More elaborate knots like Biminis, PR's, etc can do that but we've never seen something you could tie easily in the surf break that high in 50# braid.
