Thanksgiving Menus

The traditions thread is great but I think a menu thread will stand on its own merits. What is yor menu and don't leave out the little family dishes that are requirements and start fights if they are not there. Also the desrts are a must for the list.

Turkey with homemade stuffing.

Home made bread.

Home made cranberry sauce.

Mashed potatoes.

Creamed Brussel Sprouts (on which I usually pass).

Home made pies (pumpkin and pecan).

The only thing that comes out of a can is the crushed pumpkin for the pies, since it's easier to work with and actually tastes better than fresh pumpkin.

butternut squash
acorn squash
Eastham Turnip. will eat some raw with a dash of salt, before the cooks get to it... I still get the Nickerson Famliy ones
mashed potatoes

there will be corn served, for the kids
Gravy, lots of
Homemade stuffing, two kinds, my mother in law's killer Italian one, and my bastardized Cape Cod one with scallops in it.

So Karl, what makes Eastham Turnips special? I see them every year at the farm stands. Should I pick one up on the way down Wednesday?
Back in the day, we marinated raw turnip in soy sauce. Yummy snack.
