do what they did with the gulls ...
Why doesn't the town do what they did to the seagulls that were nesting on Monomoy several years back to make room for the terns ... I read in the Globe that seagulls were dropping out of the sky dead all over the place ... at least that is what I remembered ... seems like there is not enough food around to support this crowd ...

The scary thing is thats a fraction of what we have in Chatham. They are EVERYWHERE!!!
Monomoy point: yup
Inside the Southway: Yup
Outside the Southway: Yup
Pleasant Bay: Yup
All along south monomoy: Yup
We're not talking about a couple harbor seals, we're talking each group with a mimimum size of 50 seals and some way way larger. I don't know why the sharks haven't come to our all you can eat buffet...
BTW does anyone know if the bass fishing still sucks in chatham or has it picked back up yet? I haven't been out in 2 weeks due to having way to much going on. I want to get out this weekend though.

Capesams..... how recent are these photos?
I did a date/seal watch in 99? Guy said about 1500 in a breeding colony then....now I`ve heard estimates to 10,000 seals Grey and Harbor...
We need that scientist from Jurrassic Park to clone a 30 pack of giant Megalodon Sharks to clean up these seals. They are definitely out of control and strongly off setting natures balance.

My son went up on an aerial tour from the chatham airport for his b-day (big 2-1) yesterday, so those pics are yesterday's, hot off the presses.

I think we need to start an Ethnical Diversity program and try and bring up the Eskimo Population in Mass....they'd take care of them.

Why not suggest that they move the M.V. monster shark tournament to Chatham. What we need is more shark chum dropped in those waters.

If they really start to push into CT I will have to start a seal jihad as well. I could be very busy in the coming years.

Seals - every where
Don't kid yourself, they come down Long Island Sound ... mostly in the winters, but earlier every year. They are around the Gulls off the North Fork of Long Island in the fall, appeared out of nowhere, where they were not in years prior ... so many are staying around the Gulls and Plum Island off North Fork of Long Island, and moving into LIS. Have not been there for a few years now, but you know their population is not decreasing ... up here on the North Shore and along the coast of Maine in the summer there are way too many. Get rid of em
