Reel Cleanng in SE Mass/Canal Area
Can anyone reccomend anyone who cleans/tunes up reels?
I have a calcutta 400b that doesnt seem to be casting as well as it should that needs a little love.
I know of bucko's, any other suggestions?

I'm pretty sure Red Top in BuzzBay will do it. Might take awhile in-season though.

Red Top might do it, but Nelson will tell you they are not suppose to, not certifed by Shimano, at least they weren't a couple of years ago. That being said he took car of my 4000 a couple of years ago just after he told me they weren't supposed to.

I would sugest getting a schematic of reel take it apart on a towel clean it put back together you will gain confidance and it won't take more than an hour or 2
the drag is easy just reverse the way you took it apart , you'll need some small screwdrivers , stay calm , and after all you did it yourself !

Sportsman's Outfitter Bait & Tackle in Berkley does a good job...Right down the street from you. It's basically a tackle store in a guy's garage, but he is a real good guy and has a good biz going. I just moved to Middleboro and have been bringing my spinner to him. No complaints so far.
