otw 55 pound fish pic?
Johnathan Lewie with his 55.1lb striper on June 16th, 2013
I'm not good at the calling pic's crap. Why is there white out in 2 spots that have nothing to do with location. Where is his right hand? And standing straight up feet crooked with a 55 with no strain?

Although the tail looks small (not questioning his catch) the only "white-out" I see, isn't really white out. Looks like the sun high-lighting the corner of his shirt. ??? and he's using 2 hands to hold her up, I think>>>

The white spot below the dorsal and above the tail just jumped out. It even looks worked in the thumbnail. Like I said I'm NOT good at calling pic's crap this one just looked weird in a few ways. I didn't even question that FAKE world record pic a few weeks ago But for some reason this one didn't add up to me. There have been alot of 50's taken in the last week. And they will be replaced with bigger fish. This pic still has me scratching my head>

I share your enthusiasm for making sure all the pictures are legit but man, you might think about getting another hobby to take up some of your time.

If people have to perpetrate fraud to pump themselves up.....whatever......they have to live with themselves and the shame! I have more important things to do than worry about such trivialities! Don't concern yourself WPM......if the guy caught it all I have to say is congratulations and I move on! I don't want to waste any more time on this....I am trying to catch my own "50"......wish me luck! LOL!!

You people are retarded. The white patches are the sun reflecting off of his shirt and pants.

If you inspect the properties of the photo...you will see that the "program name" is
"Adobe Photoshop CS6"
enough said.
therefor retouched and faked.

The head could be a cut and paste with the kerchief blending the transition to the body. Besides who wears kerchiefs besides fags and cowboys.

so what? I used to use photoshop to re-size and file my pictures
it doesn't mean I altered them just like it does not mean for sure that this photo was altered.
I'm with bigfish, if it's fake, then the guy has to live with it.
maybe we can post a thread of all big fish pictures and see if the detectives can tell what is real or not

Words spoken as a true surfcaster Putski!
Sure seems that advances in modern electronics has almost made a mockery of the "boat 50" IMO.

I received several additional high-res pictures of this fish directly from the angler and have ZERO question of the fish's weight. He also landed a 53+ the same tide and they were both weighed on a certified scale. There have now been 11 50s caught off Block in the last 7 days including two 55's and a 58.
Why is it that it seems like every single big bass is being questioned this year? Did that ding-dong in Canada really make us all that skeptical?

The Photoshop reference is local to your PC. JPG files do not carry that kind of information. On your PC, JPG files default to Photoshop. My PC JPG photos open with Windows Picture Gallery. I do agree that there is something unsettling about the photo.

Not to open a can of worms, but I wonder if these guys would have kept these big fish if the tourney didn't exist?

2012 Striper Cup Weigh Ins
Official "kill report" of last years cup. Starting at 13.8 lbs.....Seems OTW has some responsibility to at least try to discourage entering fish that have no shot at winning. How is a 13 lbs fish even legal length?
OTW is just another industry exploiting the fishery.
