How does a guy who only has 40+ posts and is more lurker than anything on this site end up getting thrown in the middle of this?
I have only a couple of things to say-- I certainly have a lot of respect for #^^^^^^&, Clammer, Jim White, and anyone who else who has put as many hours on the bay as they have. Any advice, info they are willing to pass onto me I welcome with open arms. While I do not know many of you guys I would be excited to establish friendships/fish with any and all of you.
I also consider Parker23 a good friend and have gotten to know him over the past two summers--so I can certainly understand his reaction--and I initially had the same one.
However, I can also see the other side--a spot is only a spot. It takes good conditions, the right bait and timing to have an epic day like the one in the video. In this particular case I think the number of people who are able to recognize those spots from the video are relatively few.
The number of people who have access by boat even fewer.
The number of people who will take the time to find the pogies and fish the spot at the right time even fewer.
I could not be where I am today as a fisherman in RI (I have a LONG way to go) without the helping hands of #^^^^^^&, Clammer, or Parker23 and I am grateful.
Jonas
