Exactly....

Well first of all, bringing attention to it just makes it a self fufilling propecy...worst thing to do...As for calling out that Charter captain, that takes large nuts as that particular captain has many many years fishing that spot a heck of alot more that 7 acually x 4...As for the emails? well thsoe would most certainly be people that already know what they are seeing becasue they have fished there before...simple as that...anyone else would not have any clue and would be guessing.

It was a Tv show that included numerous spots, edited together over a couple days fishing...acually the spot in question sucked that day and the fish were caught 5 miles away from there...Many people can spot a 23 foot parker heading out of wickford towards the same place everyday, not hard to do...sooner or later those other boats will figure it out, that goes with fishing, to say all those boats are the result of one guy is ludicrus...

This laying claim stuff is plain stupid, if you know how to fish its easy to find tons of spots, there are so many productive spots that its crazy.

The same thing happened to Steve with his OTW surf show, the guy was just about hung..and for what? Nothing ever came of it and that spot did not get the pressure eveyone thought it would....there were many times after that that steve and I went there and were alone.

I have shared much with your friend Jonas, I see no one mentioning that...In fact it was acually him who told me first there were fish there because he felt he owed me one I never asked him, he offered it up, as clammer and I hooked him up with live bunker and he caught fish...But to say again, sooner or later we would have ended up there anyway..

Its also plain as day in the OTW shows as to where there fishing and catching, if you film a show you have to fish someplace..This is a subject that has been beaten to death"spot burning" Its gotton way out of hand as if everyone who fishes has a deed to certain areas...Most times you can lead a horse to water but cant make them drink, same goes for fishing....I have told many people where to go ....and it doesnt mean they had luck and know the when where and how...

While I was a guilty of this as anyone in the past(getting mad about spots) I have grown up and realized its an elementry school mentality, just plain childish in every way....Its so old and tired thats its now funny, I am not at all hard to find on the bay...very easy, cant "hide " a boat....its out there in plain site...I dont really care who knows what....its all boils down to the fisherman behind the rod, not the "spot" your in...Last year I pulled up to a spot with several boats tightly grouped...I pulled out a 47 pounder and motered away...those guys caught nothing...so much for being in the right "spot" there is so much more that goes into it...

In the end? its a damn fish....

Hey Bruce? correct me if I am wrong but didnt you acually Charter a certain Captain to learn where he fishes?? The same Captain you are reffering to here? Not that long ago either?

How does a guy who only has 40+ posts and is more lurker than anything on this site end up getting thrown in the middle of this?

I have only a couple of things to say-- I certainly have a lot of respect for #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, Clammer, Jim White, and anyone who else who has put as many hours on the bay as they have. Any advice, info they are willing to pass onto me I welcome with open arms. While I do not know many of you guys I would be excited to establish friendships/fish with any and all of you.

I also consider Parker23 a good friend and have gotten to know him over the past two summers--so I can certainly understand his reaction--and I initially had the same one.

However, I can also see the other side--a spot is only a spot. It takes good conditions, the right bait and timing to have an epic day like the one in the video. In this particular case I think the number of people who are able to recognize those spots from the video are relatively few.

The number of people who have access by boat even fewer.

The number of people who will take the time to find the pogies and fish the spot at the right time even fewer.

I could not be where I am today as a fisherman in RI (I have a LONG way to go) without the helping hands of #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, Clammer, or Parker23 and I am grateful.

Jonas! I am sorry for bringing you into to this, I only wanted to say what happened and the truth is what I said..Your a great guy and if I did not think so You would know it...I apreciate your honesty here and you know or should know I am always willing to help you if you need it...What I said was not personall just clearing the air as to what went down...

Acually when you first saw clammer and I , you kind of ended up doing well in that spot this year...however, you never saw us there again! it just shows that fish swim and move and its ok to fish other places and I am certain you told Bruce about it thats natural, also you posted a picture here with your wife who caught fish, I knew EXACTLY where you were , did I make a fuss? and accuse you of anything? Nope....because it dosent matter at all...Anyway, sorry for dragging you in but the truth is the truth..On this one bruce is way way over the top...

Plus you guys have larger, faster boats than me..its easy for you to muscle me right out!

Anyway, your always welcome to any advice I can give you Jonas!
