If rec's are responsible for 90 percent of striper removal due to catch, and release mortality then it seems that is where the problem lies. I'm not sure about the science though. Florida revived their fisheries with seasons and slot limits, we could do the same. As far as comms go instead of going by count go by weight and keep smaller fish and leave the breeders alone to breed. I would rather eat a 18" fish than a 40" fish. At one time we could do that!
