Ice is building up pretty fast. Everything coated in ice, even vehicles we cleared and were out driving in earlier. Temperature has fallen 10 degrees in past hour into the teens. Not sure it will have made any whether we shoveled and used snowblower when it is all said and done....

So sorry to hear this.
Since I live in Newport I am one of the 7,000 without natural gas for heat thanks the national grid ... we drained all the water lines and heating lines this morning. Might not have heat for a week.

We're back to normal. Logistics are difficult when you are 1000 miles away but everything is fixed and back to normal. had a zone valve fail and resulted in no heat in one section of the house.

Nest thermostat will send you a notification if your heat is too high or low as long as you set it up
Works good in multizone big houses without a dedicated alarm system or if you have no alarm system

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!

Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

I don't trust these systems after seeing a sub contractor get into a client's Nest system to communicate with his employee working in another part of the house. Told me it was like picking up a neighbors baby monitor. Easily hacked..... He worked on them, but would not have one in his house. Just one man's opinion.
