Pure guess not including overhead- somewhere around $150 assuming they do their own machining.
Another pure guess - management is looking for the ceiling of what people will pay. Zee Baas, Saltiga, Accurate must have the big wigs thinking whether or not they can get more.
Luxury items also sometimes have an upward sloping demand curve, meaning people buy more as the cost increases.

Based on one guy's experience with the Accurate, they should be slashing the price on that one 
3 handle bushings in 2 years?? For 900 beans??? WTF?? 
Maybe he got a lemon, but he's the only Accurate user I ever met. |

I think it's a fair increase.
They have been the same price for more than a few yrs.
Those prices are what is suggested i'm pretty sure they have a limit to the bottom end. some guys can get them cheaper but they are not supposed to be sold at that rate..I'm pretty sure they run the risk of getting them pulled as a distributor if they sell em too cheap..
I'm lookin for a 300 anybody have one they want to sell...

I get chuckles out of Accurate's spinning product, but their offshore reels are second to none.  |
