its not slow trout fishing ! I havent been saltwater fishing yet . too many large trout being caught . sure I take a 50 or a 60 but 4 # trout on 2 and 4 # test is so nice .

when it gets slow you just have to keep at it - how else are you gonna know when it heats up - wait for someone on the internet to tell you?

good point man, you gots to keep at it. by the time it hits the internet or the mags, the fish could be gone!!
If you put the time in and pay attention you are bound to get some fish. I bet you any real "high liner" will tell you that "summer doldrums" are just a myth. Not that this thread was referencing summer doldrums, but those threads are a few weeks away I'm sure.

can't wait for the doldrums, thats when us N. Shore guys get some decent shots at larger fish. Bring on July and August.
