While prepping to go out for a night, I will drink yerba mate - all natural tea from South America, keeps me going as long as I need to. Was introduced to it by a friend of mine who was a fishing guide down in Chile. Its pretty amazing stuff, lots of vitamins too, very healthy. I don't know why, but it also works both ways, if you want to stay up, you are up, but if you need to go to sleep, you can. No caffeine. Look it up. Highly recommended.

My boss drinks Full Throttle, What a pia, like working for a coke head. Told him next time he talks to me like he's an auctioneer that I'll bitch slap him. "Remember when I told you?" " No, I tend to tune you out so I can get stuff done around here, get outa my way"

Sugar Free Red Bull ... drink one or two a night and I am usually fine ... but i Have been a heavy coffee drinker for the past 10-20 years, so Red Bull isn't that big of a deal ... like it though.

I find Red Bull tastes nasty. Some of the citrus types like Sobe and the Jeff Gordon 24(imagine me trying that one...go figure!) taste ok.
Most of them make me feel sick to my stomach.
In the end if I'm really tired and the action is slow I just call it a night and head home. Its different when you're slamming fish...you just don't feel tired.

I've never tried any energy drink,
where do you buy Red Bull or other energy drinks ?
I've always been kind of a high strung/ lots of energy person,
but with what I have planned for the next few weeks, I may want to try some !

i fish to relax. a cup of coffee just about does it for me.
many of the energy drinks available have too much sugar. sugar is counterproductive (knocks you out).
if you want caffeine, chug a couple of diet mountain dews and you'll be flying.
BTW - try drinking a 2 liter bottle of mountain dew in one sitting. i doubt you can dew it. see what happens when you try.

Yeh, I could do that too when I was your age . I was going 36 hours while you were watching Barney but it gets harder , especially when it is slow - Enjoy it when you can, for most of us it does get a little harder
