Thumbs up

Ya know, Nebe is absolutely correct. Change is good. You're outa that poisonous atmosphere, you'll have a little time to clear your mind and draw up a new and better game plan, and you'll learn more and/or different things at your next stop. Don't let bitterness get in the way of progress. That grommet did you a favor. New Wife, New Life. Congrats and good luck.

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Sucked at 1st , but now 3 months later, everything is looking 1000x better. Managed to pay off my debt since then, and now have 2 interviews lined up with two of the best hospitality corporations in the state. Chow Fun Food Group and Newport Harbor Corporation, with one position only being a 3 minute commute!!

Next time you go to the RISAA show take note that one of the people making the most money is the guy with the portable candy/fudge booth. The margin on that stuff is huge. I'm not in that industry but, to me that looks like an achievable entry into the market - there's a ton of fairs, tradeshows and festivals and the fixed costs associated with the business are very low, no building, dumpster, phone, electric, etc.

Sounds like a good idea, but you can only prepare food for sale in a commercial kitchen, not in your home.

Maybe - but it's readily available wholesale too. It's important not to dismiss alternatives off-hand. If there is a guy already doing it - why can't that guy be you. To me, it looks like about the only thing standing between someone doing it is a list of wholesalers and about eight grand.
In the larger sense, I'm saying that if I were you, I would start thinking about creating my own job security and not leaving my livelihood in the hands of someone that can s-can you on a whim or at the end of one bad quarter.
