yeah if i do run em out the bed ill wrap em in a towel

the cap with the rod rack seems to be the number one way to go, but did not want to spend the $$ on one once my dad hands down the truck.

steve, We got our rod rack cheap, like 60 bucks. I'll find out more about it and let you know. It holds 3 11 foot rods.

I've seen some Guys cris-cross bed tie downs in the bed of the truck reels are put cloes to the cab and the tips over hang the bed,other guys put roof racks on and some have those nice aluminuim front mount rod racks some hold coolers.
I took the cheap route and built mine about 4 seasons ago it's lockable out of the way for other cargo so far it's held up well againt the salt.
