I shot sporting clays(I guess) at LLBean one year. Paid like $22 bucks for a lesson and shot one of their $1000+ guns with all the engraving on it. Definitely worth taking those introductory courses if you ever get up to Freeport.

I did really good at anything coming towards me or away from me , even at an angle I shot 100% but the ones going purely sideways I found it took some getting used to. I'd say I was 50/50 on them. The instructor said I was obviously a target shooter and that for the sideways shots you sort of had to have a general picture and track the target , you couldn't site right down the barrel like you would shooting a rifle with sites at a target. reminded me of the difference between shooting a compound bow with site pins vs shooting a long bow.
