It looks like sour grapes due to the possibility Myerson's alleged 68 or 69 pounder may knock off the 67# fish caught from CH's boat for striper of the year or other bragging rights..can't be a coincidence this post was started...I can't think of any other reason unless these guys simply dislike each other...
Face it, there's probably more super sized fish being recorded this year than at any time since the late 70's-early 80's.
There's been double digit numbers of 60# plus fish taken that I know of, and perhaps many more off the radar. What this means is there's(obviously) a large availability of real big fish, which means many people will be landing and recording them(in addition to CH).
This(big fish glut) doesn't lessen anyone's accomplishments or necessitate cheap shots via internet postings....you still have to get out there and put the effort in...there's obviously many people able and willing to do it.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Well, honestly, I had not given his success much "doubting" thought. A few threads bac I gave him a big "thata boy"! 53, then 55, then 60, then 62 ( no signs of a larger fish on the otw site yet ). I figured a mix of skill, luck, determination, and of course, big fish. All be it, in hindsight, the 55 in the pic looks a bit...."dead" shall I say. So Columbo would ask: So, how are the other sharpies doing in Clinton? Is he even fishing that area? Are there any tourneys in the area with that class of fish being weighed in by the victors?
In my small piece of bassland, it's very hard to keep a secret. Be it a hot spot, time, tide, bait, etc. He would seem to be an excellent secret keeper. Art

I have never seen or heard of three sixites by one person in one month in my lifetime but know some surfmen who got two in one season. Right now this is the biggest number of sixties I have ever seen reported since the early eighties thus I don't question these fish.

Agreed Mike.
Doesn't this remind you more and more of the crash of the early 80s. Lot's of big fish being killed and no little fish around at all. YOY in the dumper. Can you hear the footsteps???

No boat, back in the suds.
