I also beat the hell out of mine. not intentionally though. I've fallen and thrown the rod in the process and so far so good(fingers crossed). Banged the blank up trying to store the rod. frequently fighting good size fish in strong current will certainly wear on the rod, that's for sure. Only thing I've noticed about the 2 SSs I've owned is that the cork tape won't last more than a season. But that's not a big deal to me.
Anyone else love/hate their Super Surfs?
