This is the same behavior I witnessed countless times at the cape while growing up in the striper surf, thus its no surprise to see it now...

A lot of competitive guys participate in this fishery and due to their competitive spirit they don't like to get beat whether its for one day, one week, one month, or one season, plain and simple...

The insults, grievances, threats, and allegations of wrong doing are nothing new...if you think this silly tounament is bad you should have seen it when guys were making a(real) living selling fish...this is nothing...

I do agree with CH's assertion that there's something fishy going on, but I'm not sure he's got the right person in his gun sights. I believe there's countless cheats in the OTW tourney as some of the prizes are simply too tempting for some to pass up..plus its easy to get away with given the number of weigh stations coastwide and the fact none of them inspect the fish for tampering.
