I've thought about puttin a ''L'' bracket to mount an outboard on my rig. How do I know if the hull is right for that and if it's strong enough?

....My parents are Acorean.....so yes, WE CAN FISH!!!....

...I don't know that much about boats...I've been around quite a few..but only bought my first one last season...and am still working the kinks out of it....

....BUT!!....I have many friends with boats and they've done what your looking to do. What they did was contact the manufacturer of the boat for the specs. on the possible weight limits of the outdrive and the actual best place to mount it.

...My friend had a marina mount his. 3 weeks later, it CRACKED!!!...thats when called up the manufacturer (Customer Service) and they told him how large he could go, and the best place to mount it. He ended up doing it himself, and hasn't had any problems since.

The boat I have is a 1971 in pretty good shape. I don't even know where to start lookin for the spec's . Plus, it being an older boat I'ld want to make sure I'm doin the right thing. Or this could lead to my divorce

My parents have most of there family here, and in canada, I think that played a big roll. They visted Bermuda last year.Still plenty there (greenys) and the cost of living is way high.Labor's work 7 days a week and long hours. If you get into some drag pulling fish, they take alot of the herkyjerky out of the drag as it heats up.

I never thought I'ld spend so much time in front of this tube..... lol

I attended the plug building get together at Slip's house....awhile back.....and it was GREAT. It really got me thinking.....I cut up a few dowels....and farted around with it. I've also been to a plug builder's basement.:eek: ...and you really can do alot!!!...I still haven't bought a lathe....but I do plan on it. I just really don't have the room or time right now...concentrating on this computer stuff...the school I'm going to shoves this stuff right down your throat!!....

Its a crash course. They try and teach you how to run the world of computers in 8 months.....:smash: :smash: Don't they know I only got my first computer last March or so???....:rolleyes:
